This project was my first large-scale branding initiative that I led as the sole designer, and it was an incredible learning journey. From day one, I had to take ownership of every stage, from developing concepts, to exploring visual directions, and translating ideas into cohesive systems, while working closely with the client. I quickly realized how valuable it was to proactively ask for feedback, clarify their vision, and test ideas through rapid iterations. Each conversation and critique deepened my understanding of the project—and of design itself. Moments like when my client shared insights about African culture made me realize why certain design decisions mattered in context, showing me how cultural nuance can shape both concept and execution.
Splitting the process into rapid exploration and focused refinement taught me how to balance experimentation with strategic thinking. I learned to push ideas further while remaining mindful of cultural references and functional requirements, creating a flexible identity that could adapt across podcast covers, social media templates, and promotional graphics.
Looking back, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to grow through this project. It strengthened my confidence as a designer, showed me the power of curiosity and initiative, and deepened my appreciation for thoughtful, culturally grounded design.
