Context

For over five years, I have collaborated with Lixikan’s fan community on design projects ranging from posters and headers to event banners. In 2025, I was invited to take on the full visual branding for his birthday concert, which was attended by over 500 fans. This project was my transition from one-off promotional assets to a cohesive, full-stack identity system — spanning stage visuals, merchandise, digital campaigns, and environmental graphics — ensuring a unified and memorable experience for fans.

Final Reflection

Final Reflection

Designing for Lixikan's birthday concert was a very rewarding experience. Having worked on posters, headers, and smaller-scale visuals for his fan community for over five years, stepping into the role of creating a full visual identity for the 2025 concert was both exciting and challenging.

What stood out most to me was seeing the way fans interacted with the work. From videos and photos posted on social media following the concert, I delightedly watched people take photos in front of the banners, pose with merchandise I had designed, and engage with the visual elements I had spent weeks building. It was deeply moving to see design not just as something that lives on a screen or in a file, but as an experience tied into a real, live event attended by hundreds of people. The concert came alive in ways I hadn’t anticipated: the graphics amplified the atmosphere, the colors tied into the stage presence, and small details like typography and patterns was able to unify the whole concert.

And in conversations with the fan organizers, I gained a deeper appreciation for how design decisions resonate emotionally within a community, such as why certain motifs mattered, and why creating a unified identity could elevate the experience for everyone involved.
